Chlamydia STD question, if I were to take Zithromax (Azithromycin), without having Chlamydia, will it effect a test result to positive?

I took 2 pills of generic Zithromax pills for Chlamydia.

I took them before I got a test result, and that was 7 days ago. I am about to get tested again to make sure if I have it or not.

Does Zithromax create false positives in Chlamydia testing?

    If the antibiotic took care of the chlamydia then you shouldn't get a positive result.

    It doesn't create false positives, if you still have chlamydia after taking the medication then you could get a positive result.

    Azithromycin is an antibiotic.
