Thoughts about herpes?
I have just recently been diagnosed with hsv 1 and 2 . I just need some opinions on how to deal with it. I know it s not the worst thing to have but to me it feels aweful. I already feel like an outcast and no one even knows plus I know no body would be willing to risk a relationship with me in fear of getting it. I feel like the only way I ll meet someone is if they have it to and there isn t very many sites for it.

Okay herpes is by FAR from the worst thing you can have, or that could happen. There are more pain full and more life threatening illnesses out there then herpes. Live your life like you normally would and no one would know you had it unless you told them about it. It's kind of like having a dirty little secret that you don't have to be ashamed of having.
You can still be in a relationship if you want to, you will never know who could accept you if you don't at least try to get out there. If some one does reject you for having it then you don't want to be with them any ways.
People with herpes can date any one they chose to and live their lives the way they want to. If you want to get into a serious relationship then you should tell them of your status if you want to have sex with them.
There are things you can do to help make your partner less likely to get it too. Such as not having sex when you have any signs or symptoms of a break out, and if you take antiviral medication regularly you can reduce your partner's chances of getting herpes. But they do deserve to know about your status so they can make a choice of weather or not they want to be with you.
I have had herpes for over 10 years, I'm marrying the man that gave it to me.

Honestly, my mom has it.
Guess what? My dad doesnt.
They have been married almost 40 years.
My mom gets "cold sores".
You can have a relationship with someone without.
