Math arithmetic sequence?

The fifth term of an arithmetic sequence is 15th and the eighth term is 33.If the first term is a1 what would be my equation term for the sequence

    (a(1)-a(5))/(1-5) = (a(8)-a(5))/(8-5)

    a(1) = a(5) - 4(a(8)-a(5))/(8-5)

    a(1) = 15 - 4(33-15)/3

    a(1) = 15 - 24

    a(1) = -9

    a(n) = 6n-15

    a5 = 15, a8 = 33

    No solutions exist.

    a₅ = 15

    a₈ = a₅ + (8-5)d

    33 = 15 + 3d

    d = 6

    a₁ = a₅ - (5-1)d

      = 15 - 4·6

      = -9

    nth term = -9 + (n-1)6
