how do I hide my IP address for free?

    You cannot completely hide your IP address, and there should be no reason for even attempting to do it.

    There are a few illegal activities that might require you to use an alternative IP address, but you can still be traced if the illegal activity requires the authorities to locate you so that you can be prosecuted.
