How to remove UV gel nail polish easier?

I had gel nail polish on for two weeks, and went to take it off with nail polish remover with acetone.

Soaked them for over 30 mins and I still have spots of clear base coat on my nails. I tried to file the clear coat with a super fine glass file and it won t come off!

Love the look of the gel nail polish, but taking it off is ridiculous!

Help?

Update:

I also used Onyx Nail Polish remover.

The whole point of gel nails is they don't come off easily. Go to a nail shop and they will remove them properly.

You need professional strength nail polish remover. Onyx Professional Soak Off is less than $5 and you can get it at Walmart.

Works quite well for my gel nails, even the ones done by the professionals at the salon.

Additional: Then try this. Take a wad of cotton and cover the nail. Drop some of the Onyx on the cotton and let it sit for 10 minutes, dripping on more as needed.

Should wipe the rest of the polish off.
