Americans don't want Britain to Brexit because it means they'll be relying more on America to help them economically. The initial reaction to the Brexit referendum was disbelief until it was realized that the Muslim immigration into EU was behind the vote. Stock markets and the value of the British pound plummeted immediately. But fear of Muslims apparently is stronger than fear of economic failure. To this day, proceeding with Brexit has confounded most people around the world and reduced the respect people have for the UK.

Yep, more or less, once she hands that letter to whoever in the EU, that's it, the clocks ticking, and if after two years the negotiations are not finalised (completed) that's it folks we're out on World Trade Rules, irrespective to what Labour or the remainers say or claim, we'er out, no turning back, no asking for more time, we're out of the EU, out out out.

Europe will be a better place without British war mongering and Scotland will break away and succeed away from Westminster whether we can get back into the EU or not

Scotland may not be part of the UK by the time the dust settles, Sweetheart....

As you can see the same kind of intelligent debate informed the decision to join in the 1970s, but what was proposed then is quite different from what the EEC has since morphed into.
As only 35% of the electorate actively voted in favor of remaining, the UK will be going.
I doubt it will be the last to leave.
