Since the triangles are similar (share the same angles), the sides are ratios to each other.
So question 15 is asking:
-3 is to 6 as 11 is to what?
We know the tree is 22 feet tall because the girl is twice as tall as the distance from the mirror, so the tree must also be twice as tall as its distance from the mirror.
For number 16, it is asking:
-3 is to 5.5 as what is to 22 feet?
Solve by: (3/5.5)*22
=12 feet
