Do you know how to untie a 'Neptunian Knot'?

He came from where the two red suns set as one;

I met him where the roads all turn to dirt.

I was contemplating how things come undone,

he was lying in the sand, and he was hurt.

His skin was like an old salamander's hide,

his eyes were staring off into the void.

He began to stir as I took him inside,

and with startled grace his weapons were deployed.

He pointed a poison stinger at my heart,

then he scanned me with a magnetic field;

for a moment, my mind came apart

when I met his knowing gaze my fate was sealed.

I fell in love that day with a man from space,

his terrestrial visit, alas, was short.

Now the child in me will have his face,

and I was simply a token of his sport.

I never even knew his given name

or why he was so very hard to resist.

He disappeared as swiftly as he came

with a stinging pain from his last kiss.

The child will reach the stars someday,

seeking vengeance upon his sire.

The child has huge eyes and is quite grey,

fond of setting everything on fire.

Update:

They would not take him at the local daycare,

after he burned holes with his eyes

into the chalkboard; he made the teacher float on air,

and they could not find a nap-mat in his size.

Update 2:

Child support can't be counted on, of course;

it's hard to serve a subpoena light years away.

I asked him if he could just use the force,

but a static buzz was all he had to say.

Still, I would not change things for the world;

I love my little half-earthling a lot

around my heart his tentacles have curled,

and secured me with a Neptunian knot.

Update 3:

Credit for the term "neptunian knot goes to the cheese whisperer

    LC: what a charming love story in poet's speak. This was well written,

    good format, rhyme, almost symmetrical stave to stave. Gotta admit

    I miss yours and others poetry. I can barely write anymore, oh well.

    Be good. Be well. Thomas

    I do not remember using the term Neptunian Knot. Maybe I forgot, or maybe you're mistaken. I don't know which. All I know is I don't remember. I don't remember reading this poem before, either. Is this an oldie?. Jeez, am I losing my mind?

    I liked the poem very much. okay, I just read it again. Seems more familiar, somehow... maybe I do remember it... but maybe that's cuz I just read it three minutes ago! damn. Fun poem. Clever. Enjoyable. Smooth. The work of a natural born poet and storyteller.

    Missing the boat

    I wondered in the aimless voyage

    To an aimless world to an aimless name

    As a bird in the wire stood and perched

    The breeze of the wind was left to right

    The nameless body stood

    Manned by the space becoming

    To an aimless, to an open file

    For accounts matured aimless forever

    The heart was, is hands, in hands hand

    Who can know any fixation rich man?

    For heart belongs to time, God everywhere

    I wondered in the aimless voyage

    to an aimless name

    To an aimless world

    I carried of the aimless to shore

    Islands in the Inlands

    on the back accounts stetted, to

    too aimless world to an aimless name

    As hands across the waters it was Raptures

    The stormiest no more lion--was too spring elect

    For the was balance long Castro

    many will be last, and the last, first
