Bomber Avionics Air Force?

Hi guys, i was recently informed by my recruiter that my air force job will be 2a933 otherwise known as Bomber/Special Electronic Warfare and Radar Surveillance Integrated Avionics. If anyone has this job or know anything about it, i would like to know what the job is like, where is the tech school (location not listed anywhere online), how often is travel, or anything else you can tell me. Thank you.

Tech school at Sheppard AFB, Texas has two phases:

Avionics Fundamentals (common to all) and core 2A933 Apprentice Course … depending on AFSC “shredout” (aircraft / system specific) assigned to you during “fundies”. Shredouts:

    “A” - E-3 Radar

    “B” - E-3 Electronic Warfare System

    “C” - E-8

    “D” - RC-135

    “E” - B-1

    “F” - B-2

    “G” - B-52

    “H” - EC-130

    “J” - VC-25

Research: “Air Force Fact Sheets” for aircraft types.

Check out: “Newcomers … Tech School Students” tab on the Sheppard AFB webpage.

Duty assignment location and any potential “travel” will be totally driven by “shredout” assigned during tech school … i.e. - 2A933A, B, or C think Tinker AFB, OK or Offutt AFB, NE. 2A933G don’t bet against Barksdale AFB, LA or Minot AFB, ND.
