Why is it km/h instead of kmh, like mph?

    Should be kph if you're using mph as the model.

    km/h or kph is perfectly acceptable. And so are mi/h and mph.

    It's because Europeans never make sense. Like how they put the money sign after the number 100€ unlike the rest of the world which puts the money sign before the number $100

    Kilometre and mile are in different class of measurement. Metric and imperial. But really its just simpler than kmph which you do see sometimes or mi/h which exists also but is rare. Km/h is self explanatory too whereas m/h isnt at all as the m could mean so many things.

    km/h is the correct notation. the forward slash means 'per' Mph hasn't got one because it was used before the 'per ' symbol was common. The correct notion for mph is mp/h.
