If winning money, is it be better to get $312,000 per year, or $6000 per week? Is one better than the other in some important way?

Update:

They asked unexpectedly at start but our answers were not well thought out and no one was thinking about what could happen in the end except that probably someone else would win. We are trying to figure out now which is the best, as someone WILL win and maybe in that case would be allowed to change initially stated answer. Can't just call up an accountant accountant and say "If I win big how should I have them pay me?" Would think us delusional.

Would I get the 312K at the beginning of the year? Or the end?

The 312K at the beginning of the year can be invested and you'd have more than 312K by the end.

Not in an important way, but I feel having increments of $6000 would stop me from spending a ton of money at once (if I got $312,000 at one time there's no way I would be able to save some for 52 weeks).
