Should I get an Internal Doctor or Family Doctor?

I found out I got schizophrenia year and half ago before I got health insurance with work. During the year and half since I got schizophrenia I been so been busy with work I been putting off find a primary doctor. I do have an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. I have been taken Risperidone 1MG Tablets. Take 1 tablet by mouth every night at bedtime for year and half. I am debating which doctor should I get as a primary doctor?

You'll likely have better luck finding a family doctor who will accept your insurance. Doctors who specialize in internal medicine usually work in hospitals rather than offices. The family doctor will probably refer you to a psychiatrist who will also accept your insurance.

You START with a family physician, who will revert you to a psychiatrist. Rewired byinsrance
