Jesus taught of a resurrection in the last days, look at what Martha told Jesus about her brother Lazarus that had been dead for four days at John 11:24) Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day

Jesus didn't say Lazarus was in heaven nor was he in a burning hell fire, Jesus likened Lazarus' condition to sleeping! (John 11:11-14) After he said these things, he added: “Lazʹa•rus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him.” 12 The disciples then said to him: “Lord, if he is sleeping, he will get well.” 13 Jesus, however, had spoken about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. 14 Then Jesus said to them plainly: “Lazʹa•rus has died,

Eccl 9:5-6 says the dead know nothing so a person should do whatever they could while living!

The scriptures show that there is going to be a resurrection of both the bad, (unjust;evil; unrighteous) and the good! (just; righteous) at Acts 25:15) And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

(John 5:28, 29) Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

John 5 says those that practiced vile things would be resurrected for judgment, what is this judgment! Romans 6:7 says) For the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin.

Some translations say freed, justified or released, whatever word they use they translated it from just one word (δικαιόω) dikaioō, its meaning) to declare, pronounce, one to be just, righteous, or such as he ought to be. So the judgment is not on their actions they had before they died but their actions after they are resurrected! It is called the 1000 year reign of Christ, everyone that is resurrected will have to learn what God's purpose is for mankind and this earth, wickedness will not be permitted! At the end of the 1000 year reign of Christ Satan will be let out of the abyss and then all will be tested by Satan but all will be in the same state that Adam and Eve were in, all will be perfect! Once again man will have to choose between the true God Jehovah and Satan the Devil!

The immortal soul doctrine is a pagan belief (Ezekiel 18:4) Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so also the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul who sins is the one who will die.

Death and the grave(hell) will be cast into the second death, a place were there is no resurrection, hence 2nd death! Death is someTHING that happens to the living and the grave (hell) is a place, you can not torture a place and a thing (King James Rev 10:14) 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev 21:3-4 says no more dying so no need of the grave, both the people dying and being buried in the ground will cease to exist (Rev 21:3-4) With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

This is what the Bible really teaches, for those that seek truth email me and I will show you where to find it!

That's NOT "just it". There will be a resurrection. The dead can NOT feel "Hellfire".

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) 5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten.

(Ecclesiastes 9:10) 10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going.

(Ecclesiastes 7:1) 7 A good name is better than good oil, and the day of death is better than the day of birth.

(John 5:28, 29) 28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

(Psalm 37:29) 29 The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.

(Ezekiel 18:3, 4) 3 “‘As I am alive,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, ‘it will no more continue to be YOURS to express this proverbial saying in Israel. 4 Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.

    What happens when we die?

Some people believe that we live on in another form, while others feel that death is the end of everything.

    What the Bible says.

The dead know nothing at all. Ecclesiastes 9:5 When we die, we cease to exist.

The first man, Adam, returned to the dust when he died. Likewise, all others who die return to the dust.

Why did Jesus speak of death as a sleep?

Because a sleeping person is inactive. During deep sleep there is no consciousness of surroundings or the passing of time. There is no pain or suffering.

Similarly, in death there is no activity or activity or consciousness. But the comparison goes further with sleep.

With sleep, one expects to wake up. And that is exactly the hope that the Bible offers for the dead.

This would be the resurrection that Jesus spoke about.

John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

There are two resurrections mentioned here. The Book of Revelation is even more specific and describes the completion of the first resurrection (Rev. 20:4-6) and the second resurrection (Rev. 20:11-15). The first resurrection is the resurrection of all the saved -- the first phase of which is the next thing on the agenda of God. We call it the rapture of the church. "Rapture" is a good translation of the Greek harpazo. Paul used it in 1Thessalonians 4:17 where he says we shall be "caught up," which means "to be raptured." The Rapture takes place at some time in the future. It is not dated and there are no signs given for it. It could happen at any moment. He is going to call His own out of this world, both the living and the dead. That is part of the first resurrection. Then, during the Tribulation period a great many believers will become martyrs. They will be raised at the end of the Great Tribulation period together with the Old Testament saints. That also is part of the first resurrection. They will be raised to live forever here upon this earth. That is the first resurrection. It is the resurrection of life, as our Lord called it.

Then the resurrection of judgment is the Great White Throne judgment when all the unsaved of all the ages will be raised. They wanted to be judged by their works, and they will be! They will stand before God who is just and righteous; they will have an opportunity to stand before a Holy God and to plead their case. But God has already warned them; there is no one saved in that judgment. It is only the lost who are brought there, and they will be judged according to their works, because there are degrees in punishment (see Luke 12:47-48). —J. Vernon McGee's Thru The Bible
