I think religion and a belief in a god or gods is a human condition to explain the unexplained. What do you think?

I think what you say might be a variation of the "God-shaped blank." It has some validity.

I've heard religion defined as this: Religion is mankind's reaction to the existence of God. You figure the rest out.

Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God. (Romans 5:2)

I think that you are wrong! Your starting point is our Material Civilization which palpitates through definitions, rationalizations, striving to put everything into rigid form... creating a Matrix into which it grinds our consciousness... and we end up thinking too much, without awareness what lays beyond thinking...

Does being alive require an explanation?!!!!!!!

To make an analogy to what you are stating; we say that the Ancient Egyptians believed in afterlife, but they themselves would say that they know afterlife... or at least their priesthood...

Re-ligion... to reconnect to the Source...

Religion is not a book to read and rationalize into philosophical threads. It is a guidance on how to achieve spiritual awakening and connect to the Source. It involves initiation, devotion, intent and desire. It preaches compassion and truth-loving... Of course, you may use it of any purpose you wish, cause it is a tool of consciousness, not what rules over it.

It is said that earlier people were "one man walking religions". They were all connected to the source - their consciousness was on a much higher frequency, meaning that they were interdimensional. This has to do with the Earth being closer to the Center of Galaxy, as it travels in Vortex around the Sun... We are currently leaving the most materialistic period of existence and have entered into a new stage...

Religion appeared as a way of conserving this "secret knowledge". Sadly, this Knowledge was kept by groups within their societies, but perhaps that was the way it had to be...

You can compare religion to yoga. Yoga was given by Gods through Divine Inspiration, as the source of yoga says itself. That is how all ancient people describe how they obtain this Knowledge. Yoga is a set of moving and breathing through which you start becoming aware of the dual nature of your own existence. Your consciousness starts expanding. No need to rationalize that... Just do it!

It is a way to claim to know without knowing. A way to set oneself up as a power to contend with. Religion was, is, and will always be a fraud. That is the nature of the beast.

Most people are perfectly fine with the unexplained. We accept that there are conditions beyond our perception and comprehension

Only the self impressed narcissistic nincompoop (AKA Atheist) thinks if they can't figure it out...it has to be bogus
