Can a doctor write a excuse note for missing class because of allergies if they haven't met with you at all?

Would a doctor write a note excusing your absence because of bad allergies if you haven't met with them in person? What if they have allergies on file from long ago and you haven't met with the doctor in years?

    You're expecting him/her to put their license on the line by stating that you have allergies WITHOUT SEEING you.

    In short, NO!
