How much alcohol can you drink on Zoloft?

I'm a student and my therapist said that you're not really supposed to drink while on Zoloft, but knows that people still do and said it's fine it it's just a little. She didn't really say much other than that, and I didn't ask because I generally don't drink anyways. Does anyone have more of an idea on exactly how much I can drink? She said it would affect you quicker, but would I just be really drunk or like is it actually a safety thing (other than just being too drunk)?

Also, I'm not worried about my symptoms getting worse because they're all gone now, I'm about to wean off Zoloft in a week so it's not a concern. Just don't want to die pretty much.

So like how many shots could you take and still be fine? I'm a girl, 5'2 and 105lbs, but I have a higher alcohol tolerance than I should considering my height/weight.

I would say ZERO!!!! Any medication has warning about drinking while taking it and many medications can have very bad side effects when mixed with booze to making the medication not work at all or having serious sometimes deadly side effects..

Source(s): Work in the medical field support individuals on many mental health medications. Most of them stating no alcohol while on this medication.

I'd suggest you wait until you are completely weaned off Zoloft..
