is my guy friend mad at me?

my guy friend suddenly stopped talking to, i met him this year in uni and we got on so well. We would text everyday and hang out in the library, we had so much in common. He would occasionally flirt a little. A few weeks ago he suddenly stopped texting me completely, i would text him to just chat as usual but he would either give me really blunt replies making me feel he's not interested in having a conversation with me or he would leave me on read. When texting it feels like i'm putting in all the effort. When in the library he hardly sits with me and sometimes it even feels like he's trying to avoid me. I haven't done anything wrong so i'm clueless as to why he is suddenly being like this. there's a group chat with our mutral friends and sometimes he'd be talking on it and as soon as i join the conversation he would stop talking on it. It hurts because it feels like he really doesn't give a **** about me anymore. i miss what we had but i don't want to bring it up and make things awkward or look desperate. I'm scared he's just bored of me now. i have no idea if he's mad at me or what i did. what do you think? i'm mad because he's my friend, he shouldn't be avoiding me.

There is that possibility that he SOMEHOW found out that you either have fell in love with another guy or just aren't interested in him in a relationship kind of way, which I must say, men HATE. I personally message a girl if I like her, if I don't then I just reply to the messages. So look along the lines of relationships, see if anyone maybe told him a rumor about you dating another guy, or whatever.

It could be he was hoping for more than a friendship with you. When he came to the realization that it wasn't something you were interested in he gave up on the idea.
