I was excused from jury duty?
I was excused from jury duty, I'm assuming because I said I was a full time student. However, the date that I was selected for would be during my summer break (and I said that on the form). I actually really wanted to go - is it possible for me to be unexcused, or is that like a final decision? Jury selection date was at the very beginning of summer break, so I assumed even if selected, the trial would take place over break as well. If I call, would there be any chance of being allowed to go, or is that useless?

The court's decision is final, unfortunately.
If you're really curious, you can watch a trial.
I appreciate your willingness to do your public duty.

You may have been excused for some other reason. The decision of the court is final.

Nope you cannot be unexcused, its great you want to do jury duty. The selection of the jury is complicated because its the attorneys who eventually decide who sits on the jury and its based on their decisions of who would be better for their client.

You could be excuse for many reasons, including the case as settled out of court. Chill, you will be called again.
