prophet was thought to mean wise men. it was usually given by kings, emperors, or followers of religions. this is very true in the far east in countries like india, china, and japan.

a question arises as to the nature of life, the true nature. a true religion has a preparation, a revelation, and a transmission section in teaching; but the main criteria is the one which says that it reveals the " true nature of life".

this determines whether a religion is partially true, false, incomplete, shallow, way-ward or lacking in understanding; so the wise question is whether a prophet is only repeating what has been heard by him, taught to him by other teachers, or is actually a true revelation of the 'true nature of life'?

read the religions, irregardless of the prophets teaching them; what is most amazing are the actual statements of the limits of the religions, their inability to save all beings, or the understanding that it is only a theoretical teaching without a reality. erroneous teachings do not save people from the suffering that the inability to understand and to know the actual real truth of their own life.

the bible defines a prophet of God as a servant of God so to be a true servant of God is to be a prophet of God - this means being fully submissive to his laws and suffering punishment when you sin.
