The Holocaust eliminated 1/3 of the worldwide Jewish population --
The Jewish cultural centers of Europe and the Middle East (except Israel) were wiped out.
Some tiny Jewish populations remained throughout Europe (with no cultural centers),
but much of the Middle East was completely ethnically cleansed of Jews -- and laws were put in place forbidding Jews to return.
Jewish cultural centers in Iran were then eliminated in 1980,
and in the Caucases in the 1990ies.

Well, apparently they ARE everywhere, so it'd be the same as it is right now.
