When looking at NFL teams under "Transactions" it lists players as "Cut (signed)" What does that mean?

    The player had a signed contract, but has been cut. That means his contract has been voided, but he'll get paid for his time doing as he was asked.

    Cut ftronthe squad after signing a contract... I would pressure.I am British so forgive my ignorance of NFL terminology as I am more into the round football over the egg chasing kind.
