Do women have a weaker ego on average?

If you doubt the female ego watch what happens when one in a group gets breast implants. Soon all the others do too, each one bigger than the last. Watch what happens when one starts dating a desirable man. The ones that aren't trying to win him away, are out scoring more desirable dates!! Their ego really shows, when their intended, or actual partner, gets involved with another woman! Rage of uncontrollable proportions! Women have HUGE egos!

Only saints don't have egos. There aren't very many saints in this world.

When we have an egometer that's fully accurate, we'll know. Til then, it's speculation.

Well I am going with it depends on the persons personality not their gender because I have seen both men and women with weak egos.

I don't really have any hard evidence, and I wouldn't see how you would get any without thorough experiments, but my guess is yes, women do, but only slightly, on average.

I would guess it is because women, by nature, but mostly culture are told to be more communal by nature, whereas men are to be more independent. By the simple definition of community versus individuality, seeing others as equals would therefore allow you to have a smaller ego in contrast with individuality.

Individuality on the hand promotes competition, difference and trying to one-up others, which by nature leads to a separation of self from others, thus having your own ego.

Oh, and by the case you meant weaker ego as in not as strong, that wasn't what I was talking about. I was talking about the existence of it. Some women can have extremely high egos, or in your terms, strong ego, meaning giving themselves a high worth of self.

It only depends on people individually, not their gender.
