can magnet erase music from SD cards?

I want to put magnets on my phone case so I can stick it a metal pole at the gym. this way I won't have to carry it in my pocket or lay it of the floor.

    the sort you are thinking about, no problem. there's a magnet in the phone's speaker anyway. Put it a MRI scanner's magnet and that would be another thing.

    Reguilar magnets you should be okay with. When you start getting up to very strong magnets then you can start to get issues - but we really are talking industrial strength molybdenum magnets.

    SD cards are not magnetic devices.
