Could I be a plus sized model?

I'm 5'9 and 128 pounds. I'm too big for runway, my measurements are 32A-25-33 I'm a size 0-2 depending. Do you think plus size would take me?

You still usually need to be at least 5'10. Clothes look better on tall people, even plus sized ones.

A size 0-2 is "Petite" or "Small" size. You would not be considered a "plus-sized" model by any stretch of the imagination. "Plus-sized" models wear X-Large or XX-Large sizes.

The desirable body weight for women who are 5' 9" is 145 pounds, plus or minus 10% for frame size. If you weigh only 128 pounds, you're almost underweight.

If you think you're too "big" to be a runway model, you can always model "Petite" sizes for commercial print advertisements, or in a large department store. But you'll never be a "plus-sized" model unless you gain an enormous amount of weight -- you're not "big enough".

BTW: Depending upon body frame and height, between 115-130 lbs. would be a good range for a female runway model's weight.

You are kidding right? You are thin. There is no way you are even close to a plus size model. You would have to be at least 15-20 pounds heavier.

    TROLLING -

just 2 hours ago you were "so upset" that your sister had committed suicide.

Now you're on here asking if you could be a model and thinking 128 pounds is "plus size"

For people who have had a loved one actually die, you are an embarrassment.

Most agencies would say you should be at least an inch or two taller, whatever your weight may be.

Ordinarily fashion models have to have tall, slender bodies to begin with, and then become even thinner. Because cameras have only one lens, not two eyes like people do, a person looks larger in photos than in life.

To answer your question: Modeling agencies will look at your total image. If they think you have potential, they'll work with you.

The field is full of scammers, though, who'll ask for money, string you along, but never produce any actual modeling jobs.

One possible way to get started would be catalog modeling jobs.

most models are very attractive women even if they are overweight. So weight isn't the deciding factor.
