Who else know that lizards weren't called lizards until the 1900's!?

    Nobody "knows" that. The Oxford English Dictionary traces the word back to the 14th century. I suspect the the OED is a somewhat more reputable source than youtube.

    The word has been used in English since the Middle Ages. It comes from mediaeval French. So tell us, what were they called in 19th century America?
