Since it only bothers certain Christians I'm more at looking at it as a personal failing in those as they can't accept that they can focus on making themselves better people who don't fall in for temptation.
Other religions have plenty of good people in them and don't have a religion that puts such guilt trips on their people. It seems to be just an extreme Christian thing. Makes you wonder.

Simply Satan's Desire is to leave no one to worship him after Satan is imprisoned.
After all, Satan has failed at everything else. All boasts, challenges, insults. Most of all is the claim he made against humans at Job 2:4. Claiming not one who ever lived had a single drop of Integrity. That we would doing anything, give up anything for one more moment alive.
Jehovah's People have proved that wrong since Abel. All along they have decided death instead of polluting their true, pure worship that Jehovah requires.
Satan can't win for losing.

That's something that your religion tells you in order to help you repress your own doubts.

I don't believe in the literal truth of the bible, I think it's a mostly fictional book, with obvious moral lessons, and by the end of it, you should understand the basic difference between good and evil, being nice, forgiving, loving, and being evil, mean, violent, hateful. I mean I didn't read the whole bible, I've learned a fair bit about the main parts, and the idea behind it could be good, or it could be bad, if you take the wrong message from it. The golden rule is the only thing I keep in mind, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

They don't. Christianity teaches you that anything that goes against Christianity is Satan. it's called brainwashing. They want you to only think what they've approved for you to think.
