My Imac is locked up due to ransomeware. Any solutions?

    pay and take chances or wipe the hdd and reinstall everything

    Pay the ransom. It's the only thing you can do to save the data. They will most likely be honest (if you pay and they do not unencrypt you files, make sure the public knows about it so people don't pay for no reason).

    Make sure you take ALL the steps to prevent it from happening again, including regular backups so data is not lost.
