I need to edit a video for a friend. Need to get the files converted from a DVD into a format that Final Cut Express likes. Picture/sound quality is important.

He told us he had a medical emergency and couldn't play the gig scheduled for that night. Turns out he'd been on a two day alcohol binge and was begging his wife to not leave him. He resigned with no notice a week later. Can the rest of collect lost income from him?

get receipts for the damaged equipment. I don't have receipts for everything as a lot of it were gifts/barters, etc. Should I expect a problem in my settlement because of this?

he's very ill. I have no reason to trust her brother as he has always been a liar. I think my friend has no desire to fall back into that life. Still, I fear that there's a very real chance that the brother and his wife would have no problem tempting her. This has happened on several occasions over the past 20 or so years. She says I don't trust her but that's beside the point. Seems like she's playing with fire. What to do?

I have a written agreement and the writer/producer of this children's album had claimed that it wasn't selling well and that he hadn't made back his production costs. I have very good reason to believe this isn't true. His latest claim is that he doesn't owe me anything because he's now selling this music through on-line digital sales, as if our agreement only covered cassettes and CDs. He's constantly bragging on-line about the checks he receives for digital sales through CDBABY. Is there a way to make him give me sales reports so that I can decide whether or not to legally persue this?

He can see and hear me on his PC and can also see himself, but I can't see or hear him. Any ideas?

A sibling did this in an effort to take away her power of attorney and gain access to their Mom's very small estate. My fiance has been caring for her mother who suffers from Alzeimers and has done nothing but care for her and and has made many sacrifices in doing so. She makes sure her mother gets proper meals and medication and has contributed financially to her living expenses and totally dotes on her. There is nothing to hide, but the law requires an investigation of course - rightfully so - elderly abuse does happen. This "report" was filed by the sibling who is about to be evicted from yet another residence and has a criminal record and wants to move in to Mom's house. Questions are - what to expect, what to say or not say when she is questioned by Health and Human Services.

What happens if I refuse to pay them on the principal that they have been using the taxpayer bailout for bonuses and corporate jets. I went to court and agreed to pay them off monthly and have been doing that, but now I just want to stop them from getting another dime from anyone until they return the money- that in my opinion, they've ripped off.
