Checking everyone's ID when purchasing alcohol?
I live in PA and twice now I have gone to buy alcohol with my friends while some of us were 20 and the others were 21. The 21 year old was buying, but the cashier still asked everyone to see their ID, which I can understand. My question is, if we all left and only those that are 21 came back 10 or so minutes later, could they still deny them? What about a few hours? The next day?
Also, what are your thoughts on this law/policy? It's not really stopping underage drinking, just telling people to go to another store and wait in the car in my mind.

If I had to guess (and that's all I can do), five minutes would be enough.
As long as there are no minors on the security camera when the sale happens, the cashier's job is safe.

In this case the letter of the law is what counts. You hit the cashier with enough alcohol for 5 people and you have 5 underage people with you, you should be denied. Come back 10 minutes later and again you should be denied. Leave the 5 other people outside and out of site, It gets around the law but leaves the cashier in the clear. Their license is on the line, respect that. And keep in mind there are security cameras which record all transactions and attempted trans actions.

This is a dumb question, and it just proves you are not mature enough to be drinking alcohol.
When you grow up, you'll understand.

They have the right to refuse the sale no matter what. Doesn't matter if your 21 or 65. They can deny anyone they feel is buying for the wrong reason.

I'm 60. A very old looking 60. I pull out the ID as a gesture of respect to the clerk. And sometimes they'll ask before I can even get to my billfold. They can get in waaaaay too much trouble for making even one mistake, and they don't deserve customers with attitude problems.

YOU'RE NOT GETTING IT! WTF DO YOU MEAN "YOU DIDN'T HAVE AN ATTITUDE!"
You tried to get him fired and thrown into prison with your stupid little stunt. When's the right time to return? NEVER. And you need to be looking over your shoulder any time you're walking down the street in case this guy has a long memory.
You have two choices: Grow up fast, or prove Darwin's Law. Idiot punk kids.
