Do you have a vitamin-deficiency disease? If so, take whatever supplements the doctor tells you to take.

You'll probably find - as many do - that supplements don't do ANYTHING. They are written up as having many magical medical properties, but lots of that is probably just made up by hippies - and lots more might be true but on a very mild level.
There's going to be one or two times in your life when you might NEED one of the supplements - and then perhaps you could feel it working on you. But 99.9% of the time they're a complete waste of money. But lots of people like to try them anyway to see if they might do something.
A good little book on these is Dr. Atkins - "Vita-Nutrient Solution" - and you can get a used copy off of Amazon books. Dr. Atkins was a heart doctor and a real believer in this stuff....... so he always tried to use supplements instead of prescription medicines in his practice. Not sure how that worked out, but I suppose it's always safer to feed your patients something that does nothing as compared to a prescription drug which can be highly dangerous.
