Not to grow and multiply but just to survive, the water bear. They can go about 30 years without eating and still survive.

Eat is a very vague term and too imprecise for science. Consequently, you are receiving mixed answers.

All animals require nutrients. They are needed for two reasons. The first is to provide the materials for biosynthesis. The other is to provide substrates for respiration in order to synthesise ATP molecules. All animals are heterotrophs. They cannot synthesise the large, organic molecules they require from inorganic compounds in their environment.

In general animals have holozoic nutrition which means they ingest solid or liquid foods. There are exceptions to this.

Yes. They are obligate parasites: absorptive heterotrophy, with no ingestive heterotrophy in the entire life cycle.

My favorite examples are the unicellular members of myxozoa.

No. all animals are heterotrophs, meaning they cannot create their own food, unlike autotrophs like plants, algae and some bacteria, and must feed to get energy to survive, grow and reproduce.
