Induction kit on my Volvo S60 d5?
So I've bought a Volvo S60 d5 which is a great car. I currently have the stock air filter in which I'm made to believe is very good, however I want to know if installing an cold feed induction kit will be beneficial? As I believe cold air is more dense and combusts better, however with regards to my volvo been a diesel would this not matter as glow plugs assist with warming up mixture to help with combustion?? It may seem like a stupid question but it would make sense right?

Just leave the standard air filter on but replace with a new oem part. Diesel cars are now very emissions based, and messing with it can lead to the engine not running right, they're very temperamental. Make sure you regularly change the fuel filter and clean the EGR valve as they clogg up easily and take it for a blast down the motorway every now and again
Your question does make sense on the other hand, works very very well for petrol engines.

Your car came with an cold air intake system from the factory as dose every car made!
the K&N style air filters won't give you more horse power. It's a waste on money. The oil on those filters also ruin AF sensors when the oil migrates from the filter to the MAF sensor wires.

You already have a cold air intake on there. Volvo designed it to work very well as-is.
Most aftermarket kits are actually HOT air intakes, and hurt performance.

Cold air induction is generally a gimmicky waste of money when it comes to ordinary street driving. The difference in air temperature between the stock set-up and an add-on c.i.s. is minimal.
