Can I email an apartment complex?

I am helping my boyfriend look for an apartment complex. There is a particular place I am very interested in. I have shown my boyfriend the website and wants to check it out. The problem is he works a lot, and hasn't found time to contact the complex. Am I able to email or call the complex, and ask questions about the property on behalf of my boyfriend? It would be on his behalf because if we go through with the operation his name will be on the lease and he will be the one paying for it.

you can certainly go there and ask to see what places are available, anyone who is looking can do so, the management company may have some limitations about showing if you are not the actual person who will be applying but if they have empty places to rent they are anxious to get them rented

Call them on the phone instead. It doesnt matter if you are a prospective tenant or just making an inquiry. I think your BF should do it himself, you are not his mother.

    Of course.

Yes. Just use his name and send it. That would be the same as if he borrowed your e-mail and computer to send a message. I send messages in my wife's name.

Why not call the complex and get some instant information. Then make an appointment to view whatever

is available. At that time he should have pay stubs to prove monthly income. That allows the complex managers

time to begin the credit and background check required by all landlords. Ask about pets and parking as well as

    any utility payments required.
