How can I connect my portable radio to my Bluetooth speaker?

I want to play an older portable radio at camp though my JVC Juke rechargeable speaker the radio is an old Grundig with great reception but not the best sound. I tried to use the head phone jack to the speaker with a 1/8" to 1/8" cord but sounded tremble. The radio also has RCA out jacks. I did some research and found RCAs to 1/8". ( or 3.5mm?) but they are listed for use on an iPod or such to a home stereo and I didn't want to buy another cord to find it don't work either. Anyone know if this would work, or just sound crappy like the headphone jack to the speaker port?

The 1/8" to 1/8" should've worked - but it would require you to turn the volume on the stereo almost all the way down to keep from overdriving the inputs on the Juke. The RCA to 1/8" adapter would work fine - and the RCA's are putting out line level, so there's no need to tweak the volume.

The only way to output a bluetooth signal is with an adapter - which would be a huge waste of money. You could just buy some kind of player for that.

not sure why the 3.5 to 3.5 cable didn't work. I did the same thing just a couple days ago using an old walkman radio and a klipsch bluetooth speaker. It did sound rough at first, but once I matched the volumes (portable radio volume 1/2-3/4, Klipsch volume as desired) it sounded as good or better than a typical bluetooth connection.

The 3.5/rca cable should work as well. They just use "Ipod" because it's popular and commonly used as a search term.
