Is this sentence wrong? "He let the fame get to his head- it happens."?

    It is not "wrong" if you mean that some people are over-influenced by fame, and that the male you are remarking about is one of those people.

    In my experience the expression usually is "fame goes to his head" - rather than "gets to". But I am British, maybe "gets to" is the norm in the USA.

    It's a run-on sentence. Try this:

    He let the fame get to his head. It happens.
