Music has grown alot over the years, rock and roll isn't just rock and roll, there are lots of different and very creative sounds artists like to mix in to express their emotions through those sounds. I myself am not very into rock and roll, but I am still open-minded to listening to different kinds of rock and roll. I think by being this way- you're really cheating yourself of experiencing different sounds. Just because your parents trained you to listen one type of music, doesn't mean you have to become them. Much or most of "classical music" is about mathematics. R&R is often about sex and love and hate, very often in the best human ways.
