Is hair pulling Self Harm?

Update:

I ask if hair pulling (Tricotillomaina) is indeed self harm or not because it doesn't (often) make you bleed or physically scar you.

    Any weird behavior like that is self harm.

    Yes, it is, though obviously it doesn't leave the scars that cutting does.

    It requires therapeutic treatment.

    Yes. Cutting is but ONE form of self-harm. Hair pulling is a more common one.

    In a way but usually self harm is more regarded as cutting
