How do you pronounce the girl's name Lida, Lee-da or Leye-da (like lion)?

I always thought it was pronounced with a long E sound and it was just another spelling for the name Leda but I recently heard a woman with that name pronounce it with the long I sound and I liked it better. Is it pronounced differently in England since you pronounce Sophia, Maria and Constantine with a long I sound while we usually pronounce these names with a long E sound?

    Lida, I know it's a shortened version of European names pronounced Lee-da.

    Lee-da but I lived in Italy for many years where the i is pronounced ee
