Why did God put the fruit tree of knowledge in the garden?

Because they were idiots, read the bible, all three gods were clueless.

The two trees were simply ordinary trees. The ONLY difference was the promises God made about them. Knowledge of good and bad? Because they ate it, they got that ability.

If they had eaten from the tree of life, God would keep his promise and they would have lived forever. That is why they were thrown out with two angels and a flaming sword to prevent them from getting g to that tree of life.

We are what we eat for what would be the point of eating if we did not? We are from the dirt. God used dirt and air to "become a LIVING SOUL". (Genesis 2:7)

God did these things to connect us to this planet. Our existence depends on Earth. The tree of knowledge was their ONLY LAW. One tree among a thousand(s). So not eating from only one was no problem.

However, God did it to represent they acknowledged God as their rightful Ruler. God did explain every choice and its consequences. There was nothing secret or underhanded in any of this except Satan's actions.

Why did you just try to decieve everyone reading this by failing to add what knowledge was represented by the forbidden fruit? It wasn't the tree of knowledge. It was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The couple already had much knowledge and all of it was good and beneficial to them. Yet when they disobeyed a warning designed for their protection from evil, evil gripped them. Then they knew what they wished they had never known.

It seems it was not so "all knowing" after all.

Youre not the 1st stupid person to do something stupid then try to blame someone else. Stupid people do it all the time.
