Why do liberals loudly support majority rule instead of equality? Would they have been this way in the 1950s before gay marriage was legal?

We've lost the actual meaning of Liberal. Liberal platform is based on limiting government control. Keeping guns, keeping things like the prohibition from happening, now it's just a group that likes simplifying everything to "good/bad" people and bashing the electoral college because they let Trump through (but also Obama haha).

Wow!! are you ever wrong. Who has been crucified for trying to get women's equality, black's equality and a living wage for all workers? Sure you jest. I was here and alive and well and enjoying life in the fifties and if you think the gays weren't, you have another think coming. They didn't call them gay back then either.
