Where is the best location to view this year's eclipse?

I have studied this quite a bit but can't find the answer to this detail--I have a place chosen near Mackay,Idaho that is exactly in the center of the path of totality. There, I will have my choice of being at the summit of one of the many 10,000+ foot mountains or down in a wide flat valley that stretches many miles. I wonder which location would give the most impressive view?

    You needn't go to a summit and a valley floor will suffice. I hope Idaho will be cloud-free then.
