Will yahoo answers close?

I know people get mad when this question is asked but yahoo is part of Aol now and the history of AOL is...well:

http://answers.aol.com/

so knowing that, why is this version of the same thing safe?

It seems like it did last Monday.

As you cannot post anything for the last six days, I think your question is answered.

I don't think so. I have been hearing about answers closure for ages, but it never happens.

One thing I'm sure of -- Verizon will NOT fix a thing here. They do not care. Same chaos will remain. The site will continue to be dysfunctional.

But it won't close. In fact Verizon is cutting even more jobs after they acquired Yahoo.

Nobody has any consequences anymore for anything at all. I have been seeing this for 3 years now.

The site was done when they ended the green layout in March 2014. Since then it's no man's land

No one knows what will become of Yahoo Answers. We just have to wait.

I think the site has been devolving since the day it started, and has now pretty much reached the end result, which is just rampant trolling and point gaming, and no real serious questions being asked anymore, and it's just become a stalking and trolling playground.

The "Top Contributor" leaderboards in all categories are top heavy with people that were suspended for Point gaming ages ago. Why are they still on the lists, with their obviously point gamed, BA ratio's and absurd amounts of so called "Best answers" that they awarded themselves. ?

If they are going to keep this mess......than at least UPDATE it and make it current, for the users that are still HERE and still using the site.

    probably at some point.

it was a sub-par performer for yahoo inc since 2015 at least,

when yahoo inc made an indirect statement to that effect,

and an analyst said directly :

    ya should go.
