Does It Sound Like He Might Like Me or No?

this guy and I went on a date. before I asked him out, during class he would always try to sit next to me and talk to me during class. I caught him staring a couple times too, also he would just smile at me even if he was sitting really far away upon my entrance..but never any mention of anything like hanging out outside of class.

I decided to ask him out, it was a nice date. But I guess I'm wondering if he would ever ask me out if I hadn't asked him first..

during the date he was really nice and caring, He kept asking what I wanted to do, if I was ok with doing so and so.. He was willing to do whatever I wanted to. He kept remembering small things I told him in class, and things I told him during the date.. was being very observant and asking A LOT about me... he told me a lot about his family and whatnot.

we also touched upon some more serious topics, like family childhood, kids, future stuff (which Im not sure if its normal on a first date??)

he made the whole night about me, kept saying nice things about me, asking about me, basically let me lead with everything...

I guess I'm wondering if he's just sounds like a nice guy in general or if it sounds like he does have a crush.
