What is the function of water in oxidative phosphorylation? And why? a) supply H+ ions or b) supply electrons for the reduction of NADP?

The answer is A, but I don't understand why. What is the role of water in the cellular respiration ETC?

    NAD is involved in oxidative phosphorylation - not NADP.

    Water is the end product at the end of the electron transport chain - formed from H+, electrons and oxygen.
