How do you, at least, start to learn to drive? (Read the description please)?
I'm a 17-year-old student in Massachusetts who hasn't even begun driving. I don't have a permit and am completely new to this. Can you at least list down the steps necessary before I begin booking lessons? I'll figure the rest out later, but I just need to know what I need to do to proceed.

If you book a good lessons teacher, there is very little to no prep work required. In my state, drivers education was required and informed me of all of the necessary knowledge required for driving. After I took these classes, I took a few classes of practicing with an instructor, with no experience behind the wheel before then. Then I practiced more with my parents and eventually learned to drive well enough to maneuver the roads.
If you would like to practice, go with a parent into a deserted parking lot (schools would probably work best especially in the summer time), and learn how to turn the car on, shift gears, move the car around, control speed, and use the headlights, horn, air conditioning, etc. They will help you with everything you need to know, as many lessons must be shaped depending on the car type, which I imagine your parent has experience with.
