I'VE ALWAYS STRUGGLED WITH THIS CONTRADICTION:

"I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me..." - (Exodus 20:5-6) (also Duet 5:9)

"Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin." - (Deuteronomy 24:16)

"The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him." - (Ezekiel 18:20)

"And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar." - (Matthew 23:35) (also Luke 11:50-51)

The Bible was written over a period of nearly one thousand years, by various writers each with a different agenda in relation to God, and to the Jews, and to humans in general. The New Testament was, obviously, written after Jesus has lived, again by people with various ways of looking at the life of Jesus, and how that life and teaching should impact on humanity.

I assure you, the Holy Bible does not contradict itself! The Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God therefore it is literally impossible for the Holy Bible to contradict itself, as it is divinely inspired by our Creator, the God of the Holy Bible!

To give you one example of a supposed contradiction in the Holy Bible, that has been debunked, look at Genesis 1 & Genesis 2 when the Holy Bible describes Creation Week. Many atheists say that Genesis 1 & Genesis 2 supposedly contradict one another, as there are supposedly two creation stories in Genesis 1 & Genesis 2, according to them, but this notion is completely wrong!

Genesis 1 is describing Creation Week as a whole, & of course, the Seventh Day of rest. In other words, Genesis 1 is describing each day of Creation Week, & also the Seventh Day of rest, whereas Genesis 2 talks about only one day of the Creation Week, the Sixth Day of Creation Week to be exact. So, there is no contradiction, just a common misconception amongst atheists!

Not all prophets have the same knowledge of the truth. Jesus, for example, reveal things that hadn't been revealed by any other prophet.

  • i challenge you to find even a single contradiction.
