Am i having a crush on my best friend?

Im a girl im 16 and my best friend is a guy he is 16 too. People always tought we were dating and we always just laughed them off but lately i dont know i just feel diffirent with him. I feel happy but like not normal happy, like super happy and i also fantasize about him sometimes which i havent done before i think and whenever he hugs me i feel like i have butterflies in my stomach. He used to hug me before and it wasnt a big deal but now when he hugs me it feels diffirent and i cant stop thinking about it all day. Is this normal or am i having a crush on him? i dont know if he likes me that way so im scared

well from those 7 its 7/7 for me... i guess it cant be helped but im scared what he will think or if he would consider dating me. we have been friends for nearly 10 years
