Why don't we have step-flushing toilets!?
Automatic flushers either are too sensitive or not sensitive enough. Conventional lever flushers get grimy and unsanitary in public restrooms and no one wants to touch one. Why can't we just make a flushing toilet where all you have to do is step on a button or lever to flush the toilet? Its simple, reliable and you dont have to worry about getting grime on your hands (Obviously you should wash your hands anyway but its less you have to wash off).

the idea is good ..but it could have long term problems ..in a dirty and wet area ..soon could clog ...majority of toilets sold in uk are now push button ..if your that concerned you could carry a blunt pencil around with you ..just press the button with the pencil

What I would like to see is weight sensitive floors in the stalls. Once you step out, FLUSH.

Many public restrooms and big box stores have step flush toilets. If the store/church/library or whatever, ask them to please get them.

Most public toilets I see have motion sensing automatic flushers. Only in some out of the way places do I see manual flushers.

We already do. They're very common in public toilets here.
