  • Genghis Khan vs Sun Tzu?

In this hypothetical battle, assume each side has an equal amount of men, at full strength and highest level of war tech per each armies period (repeating crossbows, artillery, etc.). Who would win?

  • If you could instill the characteristics of any celebrities, what would you pick?

For me I'd pick the appearance and suaveness of Pierce Brosnan, the mind of Ryan Reynolds, the adventurous attitude of Harrison Ford, the fighting skill of Tony Jaa or Donnie Yen and, to top of this glorious golem, the literally spirit of Bruce Campbell abd everything that is him.

  • What is your primary firearm that you own?

If you own multiple firearms, what firearm is your most reliable, first-response weapon?

If you don't own a firearm, what would you prefer to have?

If you don't want a firearm and never will, that's fine, your choice. Just type "finger gun."

  • What would be your perfect historical army?

If you could command a sizeable force of ground troops, what would you arm/fit them with? How would you position them? What is your plan of attack?

For the sake of argument, let's lay some ground rules:

-Time period is any military tech prior to the year 1650 A.D.

-No major artillery such as trebuchets, cannons, ballistas, catapults, etc.

-Due to mostly emphasis on melee combat matchlock and wheelocks are only acceptable firearms.

-Obviously this is meant to be historically based. No fictious characters or military. Especially Sci-Fi.

  • Best way to acquire a .22 barrel for home build.?

Considering making a .22 break action truck-gun/varmint rifle. I have a design and get most of the parts from scrap materials I own, but I'm wondering if there's a cheap way to acquire a .22 barrel either from building or buying. I wish to comply with ATF and state regulations so barrel needs to be at least 16" in length.

Like I said, trying to keep this cheap. Not putting a lot of effort and money into this so the cheaper the better. Is it easier/cheaper to build a rifled barrel from round-stock or is it better to just buy one?

  • Why do people ask basic questions on YA when there's Google?

I don't mind answering these questions, but really, when I run into questions like, "Who won the Civil War?" or "How can I bake a cake without using flour?" or "Is it safe to drink bleach?" can't people just Google the answers to that?

Do they even know what Google is? Do you even Google bruh?

  • Where is a good site to look up political and social histories of current politicians?

Does such a site exist? Is it easily accessible to the public for political watchdogs to keep track and hold politicians accountable?

  • Anyone know where I can watch MacGyver?

I started watching it on Netflix and made it to the last couple seasons but they took it down before I could finish watching it. Anyone know a website that has this show and all its seasons? Free if possible? Also Firestick/Fire TV is neither affordable or available.

  • If the Gates of Hell opened up on Earth, what would you do?

Not like in a Biblical sense, but more Doom 3 style. Hellknights, Imps, Zombies and swooping demons everywhere. Let's assume you're at home when this happens. What's your gameplan? Do you pray? Do you fight? Do you flee? How?

  • Is this company screwing with me? Can they even legally do this?

Maybe later I will reveal the name of this company but for now I'll keep it anonymous. So since February, I started working for an internationally famous, multi-billion German company with a plant here in the US. I was hired as a welder and they spent a month just getting me trained and certified (Mind you this was my first time on the floor as a welder). I got certified and put to work. I'm given a work order and quota. I'm really stressed but I'm making solid welds up to code. I messed up once, but was taught how to correct it. At worst, I'm going a bit slower than the others I'm paired with (likely because they're just more experienced than me). After being employed for two months, they terminate my contract. Just straight up. No warning, no chance to hear why or what caused it and no chance to tell them how things are going. They don't even have the decency to tell me to my face. They called me an hour after I got home. The best I can get out of them is that I "Wasn't meeting company expectations." I asked, "Well what could I have done better?" They evaded the question saying they couldn't tell me but that since they heard I was a "good worker" that they were interested in hiring for a different position. I said I was interested. They then dawdled for three months before I could get an interview. I got an assembly position for putting in flooring into our product. (Continued in comments.)

  • Why don't we have step-flushing toilets!?

Automatic flushers either are too sensitive or not sensitive enough. Conventional lever flushers get grimy and unsanitary in public restrooms and no one wants to touch one. Why can't we just make a flushing toilet where all you have to do is step on a button or lever to flush the toilet? Its simple, reliable and you dont have to worry about getting grime on your hands (Obviously you should wash your hands anyway but its less you have to wash off).

  • Mormons and monotheistic polygamists; academic question for you.?

In regards to Christianity, if God wanted polygamy to be okay, why didn't he make Adam , Eve, Susan, Mary, etc. instead of just Adam and Eve. I'm only curious so please keep it civil.

  • What was the name of Uther Pendragon's sword?

Aka the sword Arthur pulled from the stone. I can already tell you it's not Excalibur. That was given to him by the Lady of the Lake and forged by the fairies.

  • Can I smoke tea in a pipe?

I'm not your typical smoker.I don't smoke cigs but when I do smoke, I prefer smoking honduran cigars. Recently, I've gotten into pipe smoking because I realized that i can smoke a fraction of the tobacco for longer periods. I like both sweet and darker flavors. I was smoking a honduran mint in my pipe but I couldn't quite taste the mint. A friend of mine suggested trying to use mint tea in my pipe as it has no tobacco and higher taste. Does this actually work?
