You'd have to be a little more specific as to which area - NW UK is pretty broad. Open MRIs are becoming increasingly popular. I'd discuss it with your physician or even call the local hospital. They don't always have them there, but if you call the radiology dept. they can let you know if they do or advise you where they send patients that need it. Another option is having your physician prescribe a sedative (although that won't always help those will a physical limitation).
